Richard Streater

Streater Richard Larry Streater passed away Wednesday, December 25th, 2024 at his home in Wewoka, Oklahoma at the age of 86.

Richard was born October 25th, 1938 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Thomas Albert Streater and Racheal Clair (Coley) Streater. He attended Wewoka public school. Richard married Phyllis Adams February 14, 1958 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. He worked in the oilfield as an electrician. He was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church in Holdenville. Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding 4-wheelers. He loved being of service to others and served in all capacities at this church.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, wife Phyllis Streater, sisters; Winifred Bell, Betty Lou Killion, Tommie Jo Dixon, Elsa Theresa Moon, brothers; Albert Streater, Haskell Streater and Jerry Dale Streater. He is survived by his children; Richard Brett Streater and wife Lori of Wewoka, Larry Bart Streater of Oregon, grandchildren: Jessie Tate Streater and wife Wendy of Wewoka, Richard Tanner Streater and wife Skyler of Choctaw, Alexis Chanthavisouk and husband Kyle of Edmond, 9 great grandchildren, sisters; Saundra Kay Anderson of Wewoka, Dalphy Morton and husband Ralph of Wewoka, and neice Stacy Morton of Oklahoma City. Richard is survived by numerous other relatives and family.

Pallbearers are Tanner Streater, Tate Streater, Breckin Streater, Adam Berg, Austin Berg, and Aaron Berg. Honorary pallbearers are Aaron Findley, Mike Findley, Joe Don Findley, and Shane Findley.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Faith Freewill Baptist Church in Holdenville with Brother Earl Scroggins officiating.

Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
