Lillian Darlene Hamilton

Hamilton Lillian Darlene (Sexton) Hamilton passed away at her home in Calumet, Oklahoma on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the age of 80 years.

Darlene is the daughter of Lennis & Leila Mae (Green) Sexton. She was born on September 26, 1944 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Her early years were spent in Spaulding, Oklahoma and then in Byng, Oklahoma, where she finished her education and played basketball under Bertha Frank Teague. She married Jackie L. Hamilton and remained in Byng for a short while, eventually settling in Seminole, Ok.

Darlene worked for Gulf Stream Aerospace Technology riveting airplanes. She transferred to Savannah, Georgia to work for them until their closing. She then held various jobs such as driving a forklift, remodeling houses and RVs, and if needed, working on her own vehicles. Some of her favorite things were horseback riding, singing, dancing and playing guitar, and gardening. However, her favorite thing was spending time with her family. She moved back to Kingfisher, Oklahoma 12 years ago and resided there until moving back to Calumet.

She is preceded in death by her father Lennis; mother and stepfather Leila and James D. Sexton; sister and brother- in-law Valena and Larry Bateman; granddaughter Dani Townsend; nephews Jason D. Sexton and Shawn Sexton; and niece Kimberly Bateman Campbell. She is survived by her four children Randy L. Hamilton and wife Kim of Douglas, KS, Keith Hamilton and wife Wendy and Steve Hamilton and wife Gayla of Seminole, OK, and Julie Townsend and husband Ron of Kingfisher, OK; thirteen grandchildren, Josh, Kailey, Jordan, Taylor, Zachary, Hunter, Dustin, Dakota, Shelby, Logan, Sierra, Peyton, and Nikki; fourteen great grandchildren; four brothers Johnny and Ronnie Sexton of Calumet, Reece Sexton and wife Rose, Doug Sexton of Sapulpa; sister Tisha Evans and husband Robert of Calumet; long-time friend and “adopted sister” Linda Reynolds of Calumet; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, 1:00 p.m., at The Holdenville Cemetery Chapel, with Tommy Jesse officiating.

Pallbearers will be Josh Hamilton, Dustin Hamilton, Logan Tech, Hunter Hamilton, Michael Bateman and Nick Smith. Honorary Pallbearers are Jeremy Sexton, Levi Kloiber, and Chase Evans.
