Sheila Leitka

Leitka Sheila Marie Leitka age 61, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born May 20, 1963 in Talahina, Oklahoma to Lilly Mae Walters and adopted by Frank Leitka and Lorraine Leitka. She married Jeffery P. Dinwiddie.

She enjoyed listening to Motown, watching football and basketball, sitting outside, and spending time with her grandkids. She was a big OSU fan.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jeffery P. Dinwiddie; parents, Frank and Lorraine Leitka and Lillie Mae (Curly) Walters; brother, Thomas (Junebug) Harjo, and Simmer Hicks.

Sheila is survived by her children, Daniel Leitka of Seminole, OK, Cherraine Hobia of Wetumka, OK, Melissa Dinwiddie of Wewoka, OK; grandchildren, Mvhayv Dinwiddie, Keland Yargee, Nataila Yargee, Lucas Hobia, Channing Hobia, Shalya Dinwiddie, Katrina Gayler, Tyanna Dorrough; great grandchild, Jiraiya Meely; sisters, Sharon (Dinka) Hicks of Okemah, OK, Rebecca Fleming of Seminole, OK, Cassandra Spain and husband Bill of Ponca City, OK; brothers, Simon Larney of Latta, OK, Roy Larney and Clarice Harrison of OKC, OK; aunt Betsy Harjo, of Wewoka, OK; uncles Frank Walters of Allen, OK, and Lewis Walters of Okemah, OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Wake service will be held at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Wewoka Indian Baptist Church in Wewoka, OK.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Wewoka Indian Baptist Church in Wewoka, OK with Pastor Dan Factor officiating, assisted by Curtis Kenny. Interment to follow at Goat Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Keland Yargee, Sagey Hicks, Josiah Harjo, Lil Roy Larney, Cruzito Martinez, William Shaw.
