Danny Cauthron
Cauthron Dan was called on to his next journey on Monday, March 17, 2025 at his home in West Siloam Springs, OK.
He was born on December 5, 1951, in Seminole, OK, to Hal and Fay Cauthron.
Dan married Jeanne (Provost) Cauthron on March 5, 1983, after having met her by hiring her to work in his restaurant, Taco Rico, in Choctaw, OK. Jeanne always liked to joke that Dan would not give her a raise, so she married him. They spent 42 beautiful years on their journey together, crossing many mountains and becoming stronger with each other.
Dan wore many hats in life. He spent time as a clerk at 7/11, he was a tire tech at Good Year, he held a membership in the Carpenter’s Union, he was a Garden Center manager for Lowe’s, as well as the grower/manager for several commercial greenhouses. His “final” job is where he followed his heart, working at Christian Addicts and Alcoholics in Recovery (CAAIR); where he impacted many lives and was very grateful for the opportunity to do so.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Hal Jr.; son, Dennis Daniel; brother-in-law, Jay Provost; and mother-inlaw, Se Sun Provost.
He is survived by his loving wife Jeanne; daughter, Christy; grandchildren Nikki, Tarra, Andrew and Careli; great-grandchildren Kairi and Josh; twin sisters, Amy and Cynthia; nieces Taylor, Lauren, Susan, Linda and Melissa; nephew Everette; sistersin- law Nancy Cauthron and Michelle Miller; and fatherin- law Retired Major Ken Provost.
Dan will be fondly remembered for his offbeat sense of humor and style that was his alone. In his honor, with love and respect, mismatched colorful socks and tie dye and Hawaiian shirts are acceptable apparel.
Dan’s visitation hours will be from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Wasson Funeral Home Chapel, 441 Hwy 412 W., Siloam Springs, AR, 72761, with the memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m.
