On Saturday, Sept. 25, Varnum Elementary hosted its 12th Whippet Run for Fun fundraiser. All participants were picked up by the Varnum bus and dropped off at the starting line, which was at the stop sign at the intersection of Highway 3 and County Road 1190. All runners headed East on County Road 1190, and then turned South on County Road 3550 before crossing the finish line in front of V amum Middle School.

Seminole boys and girls cross country teams went on the road this past week to compete in the 66 Conference Tournament. The boys team walked away with a team championship, and the girls claimed runner-up.

Seminole softball took on the Byng Pirates Tuesday evening with the hopes of bringing home a district championship. When the bus rolled back into Seminole, the girls had done just that, beating Byng by a score of 13-0.
