Advancement The Seminole Lady Chieftains claimed the Regional Consolation title on Tuesday after defeating Sallisaw at Perkins-Tryon High School. The final score was 62-58. The Varnum Lady Whippets won the Area Consolation championship Tuesday night with a 69-43 win against Paden. The team played in the Area Championship on Monday night against the #1 team in class B, Lomega and lost a hardfought game 58-40. Even with the loss to Lomega, the Lady Whippets still had a chance to punch their ticket to the State Tournament in the consolation game that was played last night. This is the 6th year in a row that the Lady Whippets have gone to the State Tournament. The team was State Champions in 2019 and State Runner Up in 2020. —Photo courtesy Jeanne Gosa
