Our hearts go out to those who’ve lost loved ones and to those who have lost their homes in the fires. It’s been a devasting few days, but we are extremely grateful for our first responders who’ve been on the front line. In many areas, those first responders are volunteers – our own Senate President Pro Tem, Lonnie Paxton, served as a volunteer firefighter in Tuttle for decades. Their efforts are invaluable and deeply appreciated. I also want to thank our volunteers with the Red Cross, Salvation Army, our local churches, and other community volunteers.
